Nursery

Thanks to Oma, Opa, Great-Grandma Linda, and Great-Grandpa Lou, the crib and dresser/changing table are in the nursery.  Especially thanks for carrying and setting them up!

Mama and Daddy took a little trip to that most magical place...no, not Disney...Ikea!  Yes, it's true.  They. Have. Everything.  :)  Found a bulldog that we HAD to get in honor of big sister Khaleesi.

This is why we were there so luckily it was in stock.  Love the little animal tracks.  (Sorry color is a little off on ipad pics. Rug is brown, blue, and sage green.)

These little hedgehogs are snacking on strawberries and I just loved them.

Check out the $2.99 mushroom hat I made into a decoration.  And the card from Mare and Dave that we're going to frame and hang.

And of course a Daddy and baby fox that had to be moved up out of The Khaleesi's reach.  With some "old" books that are boxes Oma found. Cause of course there will be lots of books!

Oh No Joe

Unfortunately, the night before my 29th birthday, Joe tore the tendon connecting his kneecap to his shin.  He had surgery on it last Tuesday.  It seems to be healing well; he is able to get around pretty well though he has to wear the brace while it heals.  We'll see how his post-op goes and what the surgeon wants us to do for rehab/physical therapy.  :)

New Year's News

Happy New Year everyone.

We're excited to announce we're expecting a GIRL!  Ashley dreads a wardrobe full of pink and purple so she's already shopping for other colors.  And Joe is already thinking about her wedding.  Ha ha ha.  Baby is already quite active; she was performing somersaults and squirming around making it difficult for our ultrasound technician to get good photos.  And so the drama begins... :)

Hope you had a wonderful New Year's.  We enjoyed ours with new friends while reminiscing about old friends.  Great company makes for good memories.  (Doesn't hurt that Nebraska won either. Go Big Red!)

Best wishes for 2014!
